Islamabad 04 November (Online): Yousaf Sallahuddin is a brilliant Pakistani artist, philanthropist and socialite. Mian Yousaf Sallahuddin has a strong political background. He is the maternal grandson of the poet and man of letters Allama Iqbal. He is the nephew of Javed Iqbal. His paternal grandfather, Mian Amiruddin, was the first Muslim Lord Mayor of Lahore. He wrote and composed many songs for PTV. His show Virsa for PTV gained immense popularity. Virsa highlighted and promoted regional Pakistani musical culture.
Recently, Main Yousaf Sallahuddin spoke about the professionalism and ethics of old-time prostitutes on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast. He said about this: “I think the prostitutes of Bazar E Husn were more professional, they were not vulgar, they wore full clothes, they learned art and music, they learned dance. I think it is an injustice to close it down. When someone asked Nawab Kala Bagh to close Bazar E Husn he replied: ‘If I close it the whole city will be turned into a brothel, a lot is happening now’.
