Negligence in security arrangements, four soldiers injured due to shrapnel

In front of Itarsi railway station, a big mistake has come to light in the case of firing in RPSF barracks. Sources reveal that the gun shot in the barrack was due to negligence. Constable Sumit Rana did not take security arrangements in the maintenance, due to which the incident happened. The jawan did not take out the magazine full of bullets from the carbine gun before cleaning it. He was cleaning as soon as the magazine was engaged. In the meantime, by pressing the trigger of the gun, the bullet hit the wall through the ground. The bullets hit the wall and hit four soldiers. Due to which he got injured. In the matter, Itarsi City Police and FSL team has started investigation after reaching the barracks. City Police SSI Jitendra Vaishnav reached the barracks and recorded the statement. The condition of Railway Protection Special Force personnel Tinku, Sumit, Jagmohan and Rajiv, who were injured in the incident, is improving. All four have been admitted to Narmada Hospital.

Experts do maintenance work-
According to a senior Railway Protection Force official, the maintenance of rifles, carbines, pistols is done once in a year. Specialists perform this task, called armourers. The responsibility of general maintenance rests with the person in whose name the weapon is issued. Gunpowder i.e. bullets are removed before maintenance. Only then does its maintenance begin. Apart from this, a bucket full of sand should also be kept nearby. The pistol, carbine should be facing that bucket.
