Udupi: A case has been registered in the Udupi Nagar Police Station against 11 PFI activists who protested without taking any permission from the police department.

On Thursday, PFI activists staged a protest on the public road of Diana Circle in Udupi without any permit, obstructing the smooth movement of public and vehicles. At the incident site, 25 to 30 people gathered on the public road and shouted defiance about the arrest of the PFI leader by the National Investigation Agency and obstructed the public walking on the road and the moving vehicles.

The protestors were told to leave the place but did not go. For this reason Sadiq Ahmed (40), Afoz K. (39), Ilyas Saheb (46), Irshad (37), Fayaz Ahmed (39), Muhammad Ashraf (43), A. Haroon Rasheed (42), Mohammad Juraiz (42), Ishaq Kidwai (30), Shaukat Ali (31) and Muhammad Zaheed (24) have been taken into custody.
