Islam Abad: The Islamic Ideological Council (IIC) has IGed outrage over the portrayal of a woman as a maiden in a procession on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal.

The meeting of the Islamic Ideological Council was chaired by Qibla Ayaz in which the resolution on the establishment of Rehmat-ul-Alamin Authority by Prime Minister Imran Khan was discussed. The issue of making a woman a maiden was also discussed in the meeting.

Expressing outrage over the presentation of a woman as a maiden in Multan on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, the members of the Islamic Ideological Council said that it was a very wrong move to present such a maiden as a maiden in Islam.

The Islamic Ideological Council said that whether it is Rabi-ul-Awal or any religious beliefs, a strategy is needed to prevent unnecessary appearances, a standard should be set for the performance of religious rites or religious beliefs.
