Outbreak of dengue in Punjab alarming, 325 new cases reported
ISLAMABAD (IG News) The spread of dengue in Punjab has become alarming. Three people lost their lives in one day.
According to the District Health Officer, the number of dengue patients in Islamabad has reached 1403. In the last 24 hours, 61 people have been infected with the dengue virus. So far the virus has swallowed 5 lives.
According to the District Health Officer, 42 cases were reported in rural areas of Islamabad in the last 24 hours. There are a total of 937 dengue patients in rural areas. In the last 24 hours, 19 cases were reported in urban areas of Islamabad, bringing the total number of cases in urban areas to 466.
According to DHO Rawalpindi, 122 people were admitted to different hospitals in the city in 24 hours. The condition of 5 dengue patients in Rawalpindi is critical. There are 14 patients at DHQ Hospital, 90 at Holy Family and 18 at Benazir Hospital. One person has died of dengue in Rawalpindi so far.
