New Delhi, 19 November: Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri has penned an inspirational message to the Narendra Modi Stadium crowd to support the Men in Blue as they defended a total of 240 in the second innings against five-time champions Australia in the ICC World Cup 2023 final.

Australia produced a stunning display of tight and scrappy bowling to push India to 240 after Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins broke through the home side’s batting line-up early in the innings.
Following skipper Rohit Sharma’s charge of 47, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul scored 54 and 66 respectively but the ball dominated the batting on dry and sluggish ground.
