Two Rifles Found From Retired Soldier’s House

Police have seized two rifles and cartridges from the house of retired soldier Bhupendra Singh alias Buta, a resident of Newton, who was involved in the murder and robbery of bullion businessman Omprakash Somani near Kolhiya on October 9.

Chhindwara / Parasia. Police have seized two rifles and cartridges from the house of retired soldier Bhupendra Singh alias Buta, a resident of Newton, who was involved in the murder and robbery of bullion businessman Omprakash Somani near Kolhiya on October 9.
Police station in-charge Pratiksha Marko, Newton outpost in-charge Hemendra Jaitwar, ASI SS Parihar and police force reached Buta’s house at 10.30 pm on Tuesday night. One rifle of 315 bore, one double barrel rifle of 12 bore, ten cartridges of 12 bore and 3 live cartridges and 5 live cartridges of pistol seized earlier from the accused have been seized from Buta’s house. The station in-charge said that the wife and brother of the accused present in the house have not given any information about these weapons during interrogation. The police will now interrogate the accused about the five fired cartridges of the pistol used in the murder. Other incidents are likely to be revealed during this time. Bhupendra Singh alias Buta is currently in jail.
