Ajmer. Adarshnagar police station on Wednesday arrested the accused of cheating of Rs 27 lakh with the operator of the rolling mill. In preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to destroying a truck full of bars to pay the bet amount online. The police is in-depth investigation of the accused.

According to SP Jagdishchandra Sharma, Vishal Sharma (30), son of Vishal Sharma (30), a resident of Jaipur Viratnagar Ganeshji Road, was called for questioning in the case of fraud. After interrogation, the accused was arrested on Wednesday evening. On August 26, Saurabh Ghai, the operator of Hall Banshiwala Iron and Steel Rolling Mill, resident of Balupura Road Vivek Vihar Colony, gave a report to the Adarshnagar police station against the accused. It was told that the accused committed the act of cheating on him with bad intentions. The accused did not make payment for purchase of iron bars worth about Rs 27 lakh from the firm of the complainant.

The action was carried out by SHO Sugan Singh, SP Kanhaiyalal, constable Pratap Singh, Sunil Lakshkar, Girjashankar, Raju under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (city) Sitaram Prajapat, CO South Mukesh Kumar Soni.

Preliminary police investigation revealed that accused Vishal Sharma got addicted to online betting. Due to which he made good profit in the beginning. He lost 1.25 crore rupees in betting in the hope of winning. Meanwhile, in order to repay the money at stake to the bookies, the truck of saris ordered from Ajmer was destroyed. The money received in return was paid to the bookies.
