Rajasthan Assembly By Election: Jaipur. During the door-to-door election campaign in the assembly by-election, the candidate should campaign with only 5 persons, staying away from the crowd. The Election Commission has instructed the candidates not to hug or touch anyone’s feet or shake hands with anyone. According to the commission, the election campaign has to be done according to the Corona guidelines.

29 candidates filled the forms-
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that till the last day of nomination for the by-elections to the Vallabhnagar and Dhariawad Vidhan Sabhas, a total of 29 candidates had filed 43 nomination papers. In Vallabhnagar, 25 candidates filed nomination papers and 13 candidates filed 18 nomination papers in Dhariyavad.

Scrutiny of nominations on Monday-
The commission had issued the notification for these two seats on October 1 and with this the work of filling the nomination papers had started. The nomination papers received on October 11 will be scrutinized and can be withdrawn by October 13. Only after this the picture will be clear that how many candidates are left in the electoral fray. He said that the polling will be held on October 30 from 7 am to 6 pm, while the counting of votes will be done on November 2. He said that the affidavits of the candidates have been made available on the website of the department.

More than five lakh voters-
A total of 5 lakh 9 thousand 871 voters will be able to exercise their franchise in Dhariyavad of Pratapgarh district and Ballabhnagar assembly seats of Udaipur district, out of which 2 lakh 57 thousand 155 are male and 2 lakh 52 thousand 716 are female voters.

Vote by showing these documents-
Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that on the day of polling, such voters who are not able to present their electoral photo identity card, they can apply for Aadhar card, MNREGA job card, bank post office photo passbook, health insurance smart card, driving license, PAN card, Voters will be able to vote through smart cards, Indian passports, pension documents with photos, service identity cards with photos issued to their employees by the State Central Government PSUs, Public Limited Companies.
