Gandhinagar. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday allotted free residential plots to the beneficiaries of nomadic castes after bowing his head in the court of Maa Amba on Navratri. This is the condolences of Chief Minister Patel towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to provide housing to all by the year 2022.
Chief Minister Patel’s order was implemented quickly, in which in just five days the state government sanctioned free residential plots for the beneficiaries of the nomadic caste. Chief Minister Patel gave the Sanad of 80 square meter plot to each of these 33 beneficiaries. At the same time, 40 lakh rupees as housing assistance was also given to the beneficiaries and the dream of own house was realized. Now 33 Bharthari beneficiary families without housing in Banaskantha will have permanent residential address under Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana. According to Chief Minister Patel, the state government has provided housing assistance of Rs 92.35 crore to 21264 beneficiaries of the nomadic caste of the state in the last ten years.
