Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board has suspended cricketer Zeeshan Malik under anti-corruption code.

According to a statement issued by the PCB, Zeeshan Malik, a player belonging to the Northern Cricket Association, has been temporarily suspended under Article 4.7.1 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code. Cannot participate in any cricket activities until the investigation is completed. As the matter is under investigation, the PCB will not comment further.

What is Article 4.7.1?

Article 4.7.1: (a) If the PCB decides to criminalize a participant under this Anti-Corruption Code. Or (b) the PCB deems that other circumstances involving the participants are abnormal, it will be at its discretion, or where the PCB deems that the integrity of the game may otherwise be seriously compromised. ۔ Any decision to temporarily suspend the participants will be sent to the participants in writing, a copy of which will be sent to the ICC and the National Federation at the same time.
