The ancient Brahmani Mata temple situated at Baghera, which is situated on the border of Ajmer and Tonk district and has a place in 108 Shaktipeeths, remains the center of unwavering faith and faith for the residents of the area. The town of Baghera, which came into existence about 5000 years ago, was recognized by the name of Vyaghrapur in the mythological period.

Brahmani Mata has a prominent place among the 108 Shaktipeeths in mythology. The mention of Shaktipeeth situated on the banks of Davika (Dye) river is found in detail in Vyaghrapad Pur Mahatmya, in which this place was known as Durga Teerth before naming Vyaghrapadpur. It is also mentioned in the inscription of Chauhan Emperor Moreshwar of Samvat 1405, engraved in the historical Bijolia inscription of Rajasthan.

Priest Nandkishore Pathak told that first the Brahmins of Pushkar installed the idol of Brahmani Mata in the temple. Devotees come from other towns including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan to visit Shaktipeeth Brahmani Mata. At present, the work of the Parikrama Marg of the devotees is under construction on behalf of the Brahmani Mata Temple Development Committee.
