Social activist Laxman Bakkai has said that various programs are being organized by the state government to keep the art and culture of Karnataka alive. Taking advantage of this, all the artists including the villagers should promote Kannada.
He attended the Kannada and Culture Department, Dharwad, Dr. D.R. Programs of the third day of Kannadakkagi Navu Kannada Rajyotsava campaign organized under the joint aegis of Bendre National Memorial Trust, Dr. Mallikarjuna Mansoor National Memorial Trust, Pandit Basavaraj Rajguru National Memorial Trust, Karnataka Kulpurohit Aluru Venkatrao National Memorial Trust, Chitrakala Shilpi DV Halabhavi National Memorial Trust Speaking at the inauguration.
He said that the main roots of Indian art and culture should be developed at a higher level along with making them aware of the next generation. Due to our culture and art types being more in rural areas, they should be displayed on such occasions and work should be done to keep life art alive. This will expand Kannada. By giving information about our art to the children, they should be inspired to carry forward our culture and tradition.
Literary writer Mahadev Doddamani said that today parents are teaching their children in English medium school instead of Kannada medium school. This is ignoring the Kannada language. In such circumstances, the responsibility of promoting Kannada is on every Kannada speaker. Along with keeping the art alive, the artists are also expanding the Kannada language which is a commendable work.
Rangayana director Ramesh Parvinayakar said that such programs are helping in taking Kannada language to the next generation. Women of rural areas are showing more interest in Janpad art and achieving success in life.
On behalf of Kannada and Culture Department, Prakash Malligvad and colleagues presented an attractive dance.
