Islam Abad: The federal government has announced a cannabis cultivation policy in the country by December this year.
The meeting of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology of the National Assembly was chaired by Committee Chairman Sajid Mehdi. In the meeting, the committee passed the bill of National Meteorology Institute of Pakistan while the National University of Technology Amendment Bill was postponed till the next meeting. The bill was postponed due to the absence of MNA Riaz Fatyana.

In reply, the Federal Minister said that strict legislation has to be enacted to curb the export of raw materials. A large number of people have come to invest in the cannabis project. There is no policy on cannabis in the country yet. Hemp cultivation policy will come.
In the committee meeting, Federal Minister Shibli Faraz also said that he has thought of saving in the electrical items used in the houses. This project will save 3400 MW of electricity. Pakistan uses a total of 24 thousand MW of electricity. 16,000 MW is used for cooling only, in water motors we can save 5,000 MW of electricity.
