Karachi : The Sindh government has decided to go on a public holiday in Karachi today in view of the hurricane and heavy rains in the Arabian Sea.

According to Express News, due to the coming hurricane and heavy rains in the Arabian Sea, it has been decided to have a public holiday in Karachi today.

According to the notification issued by the commissioner Karachi, it has also been decided to keep all the provincial offices closed in Karachi on Friday. Private and government schools, colleges and universities will also be closed.

According to sources, the holiday will not apply to hospitals, local bodies and compulsory service agencies. The Sindh government has also appealed to the business community to suspend trade and business activities in view of the threat of heavy rains.
