Karachi: On a daily basis in the city, incidents of street crimes, burglary and burglary have made the citizens extremely insecure.

Street crime has increased in Lyari, Malir, North Karachi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Nazimabad, Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony and other areas while Eastern District has become a haven for dacoits.

From January 1 to October 10 this year, 93 incidents of burglary were reported in which robbers looted gold jewelery, cash, mobile phones and valuables worth lakhs of rupees and fled. The highest number of 19 robberies took place during this period.

According to the data of Eastern District Police, Site Super Highway Industrial Area Police Station came second in terms of incidents of burglary in houses in which 16 incidents took place while the third came in front of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station. There were 15 incidents of robberies while 12 incidents were reported within the limits of Sachal police station.

There were 5 incidents in Sohrab Goth and Bahadurabad, 4 incidents in Shara Faisal, Mubina Town and Tipu Sultan, while in Ferozabad, Mahmoodabad and Brigade there were one incident of house-to-house robbery. No burglary was reported in Newtown, PIB Colony and Soldier Bazaar.

According to statistics, out of 93 incidents from January 1 to October 10 this year, police solved 19 cases and arrested 47 dacoits.
