GUWAHATI: In a recent operation, the Assam Rifles prevented infiltration by insurgents who wanted to purchase war-like warehouses. Security forces arrested one active insurgent belonging to NSCN (K-YA) and two overground workers at the Indo-Myanmar Border in Arunachal Pradesh’s Jairampur district.

The operation carried out by Assam Rifles resulted in the seizure of black money amounting to ₹5,60,000 along with other stores linked to insurgent activities. The captured individuals were reportedly in the process of acquiring war-like materials for their activities.
Assam Rifles shared the details of the operation through its official X branch. They issued a statement saying: ‘#AssamRifles arrested an active insurgent of NSCN (K-YA) and two Overground Workers along with black money of ₹5,60,000/- and others, preventing infiltration of Insurgents to buy Warlike stores in Arunachal Pradesh’ Stores on the Indo Myanmar Border in Jairampur district.”
