Washington: Scientists at the University of Washington have come up with a revolutionary method by which the most severe germs and bacteria can be eradicated if laser beams are fired for a short period of time.
Scientists call it the short-term pulse laser, which can be used to eliminate incurable bacteria (superbugs) and other germs that do not kill in any way. Wounds can now be removed with a laser or they can be removed with a blood sample. The biggest advantage is that very short lasers do no harm to healthy human cells. The details are published in the journal Biophotonics.
This has paved the way for the immediate destruction of germs and has shown that it does no harm to healthy cells. “We can minimize the risk of wound infection by eliminating the harmful bacteria with the help of lasers,” says his current professor, Shaw David Sen. In the same way, by inserting laser in the blood, it can be protected from diseases. This problem is more common in dialysis patients. It is now possible to make it clean and patient friendly by simply throwing a laser all over the blood in one place.
It was first tested on the famous and infamous bacterium MRSA, whose full name is the multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It causes infections from the skin to the lungs. The laser, on the other hand, also kills E. coli bacteria, which can cause urinary tract infections.
In all cases, the laser 99.9 kills germs and bacteria. Scientifically, lasers vibrate the protein structures in microscopy and break their protein bonds. But lasers are designed in such a way that they do not have a negative effect on human cells.
