A woman admitted to a private clinic with her family.
Negligence in treatment due to corona can be fatal. One such case has come up in Madhepura. Last night, Chandan Devi, wife of Tuddu Kumar, a resident of Gailladh in the district, was in labor pain. He was admitted to Ghilad PHC in the evening. There she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. During this, there was a corona test of sandalwood, which was negative. But the bleeding did not stop after delivery. All the troubles started from here.
Family visited 3 hospitals in the night
Chandan Devi was referred from PHC to Madhepura Sadar Hospital. When the family reached Madhepura at around 10 pm, then before treatment here, his corona test was done again. In this he was declared corona positive. Then he was sent to Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Medical College Hospital without treatment.
Now around 12 o’clock in the night, the family took Chandan Devi to the medical college. There was again a corona investigation in which Chandan Devi was declared negative. The lady doctor posted there said that she needed a blood transfusion. Blood bank is in Sadar Hospital, so you have to bring blood from there. Meanwhile, Chandan’s condition had also started deteriorating. According to the family, the doctor of the medical college advised Chandan Devi to take her to a private hospital.
The troubled relatives brought Chandan Devi to the private clinic of a gynecologist in Madhepura at around 4 in the morning. There the bleeding was stopped immediately by stitching in the private part of the woman. Then medicine was given, after which his condition returned to normal.
Stitching was the solution to the problem on time
The surprising thing is that the woman suffering from bleeding was referred from three places just knowing the symptoms of the disease, that woman is healthy with normal treatment in the private hospital. The story of sandalwood has exposed the public health system of Madhepura. If only her stitching was done on time, then Chandan might not have to face this situation.
In this regard, Civil Surgeon Mohd Abdul Salam said that the matter is not just about negligence. It also raises questions on humanity. It is unfortunate that the emergency patient is not getting treatment in the name of Corona. If complaint is received, action will be taken after investigation.
