Dholpur. After the monsoon, the farmer remains busy in the fields without worrying about day and night and sun and shade. At present the situation is a bit opposite. Although the farmer is still not worrying about day and night and sun-shade, but instead of the fields, his time is being spent in waiting in the queue to get the DAP. Farmers are not getting DAP even after waiting in queue for hours. The situation is such that farmers queue up for manure from morning itself and in the afternoon they remain in queue even in the sun. Even women are queuing up. Many farmers have been circling for DAP for a long time. In such a situation, now the farmers are facing double concern. On one hand, DSP is not available, while mustard sowing is getting delayed. However, it is a matter of relief that eight thousand kattas of DAP will be distributed in the district on Friday.
just getting hit
DAP is being distributed under police surveillance to maintain order in the district. A large number of farmers are reaching the distribution centers after getting information about DAP distribution. The situation becomes such that in no time thousands of farmers stand in the queue there. Now it’s time for distribution. One by one, less than half of the farmers queuing up get the DAP. On Friday, 8 thousand compost bags will be distributed in the district. In which 3 thousand 20 compost bags will be distributed in Dholpur from police lines in two days. In Maniyan, 1300 bags of manure will be distributed through DIET. The distribution of 1740 kattas from Girls Higher Secondary School in Sampu, 1190 kattas from Sadar police station premises in Bari, 450 kattas at Canal Kothi in Basedi and 300 kattas in police station premises in Sarmathura will be done under the control of the sub-divisional officer.
Delayed sowing will affect the yield
Farmers are wandering for DAP for many days. Farmers are trying for DAP at all the nearby places, but fertilizer is not available anywhere. In such a situation, sowing of mustard is also getting delayed. The farmers will have to bear the brunt of this. Due to delayed sowing, it will have a bad effect on the yield.
Lack of information about SSP
Lack of information about Single Super Phosphate (SSP) among farmers is also a major cause of trouble. Traditionally, farmers are putting DAP only in mustard, whereas SSP is more effective for oilseeds and pulses crops. The department has also failed to explain this to the farmers. DAP is useful for wheat crop. At present it is time to sow wheat. In such a situation, if farmers adopt SSP instead of DAP, then the problem can be solved to some extent.
Standing in the sun for a long time. The queue is very long. The government should make arrangements for DAP for the farmers.
