John Legend has said that he and his wife Chrissy Teigen have ‘cautiously optimistic’ about their new pregnancy, after losing their third child.

In August, Chrissy announced she was pregnant again, but said she was still ‘nervous’ about the experience.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Friday, Legend was asked how her pregnancy was progressing.

She said: ‘Whenever you lose a pregnancy, it’s always cautious optimism when you’re pregnant again, because you never know what could happen and you’ve experienced that tragedy of losing one.. .so your optimism is somewhat tempered by that.
