ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Omar Atabandial has said that voting is a constitutional right of the members of the National Assembly. The court has not yet been persuaded to interfere in the proceedings of the National Assembly. The court wants no one’s right to vote to be affected.

According to details, a two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Omar Ata Bandial heard the petition of the Supreme Court bar to stop the political meeting before the no-confidence motion in the Supreme Court. Instructing them to go out, he said that some people should go upstairs to the gallery.

During the hearing, the counsel for the Supreme Court Bar said that the Speaker has been asked to convene a meeting of the National Assembly on March 25, whereas under Article 95 of the Constitution, a meeting has to be convened within 14 days. No one should be deprived of voting, voting is a constitutional right of the members.

Opposition lawyer Farooq Naik said that the speaker had violated the constitution by violating it. On this, the advocate of the Supreme Court Bar said that the Speaker has no right to delay more than 14 days, the sitting cannot be adjourned indefinitely till the decision on no-confidence is taken.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that the court has not yet been persuaded to interfere in the proceedings of the National Assembly. can go.

Opposition lawyer Farooq H Naik, while presenting the notice of convening the assembly session in the Supreme Court, said that the Speaker had violated the Constitution by violating the Constitution. Chief Justice of Pakistan smiled at the words of Farooq H Naik regarding Article 6.

It may be recalled that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, Leader of Opposition Shahbaz Sharif and Leader of Opposition Ittehad Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Maulana Fazlur Rehman also reached the Supreme Court and the said leaders including Khawaja Saad Rafique and Sardar Akhtar Mengal and others arrived.
