Helicopter service for tourism development in Kodaikanal
According to the Indian Air Transport Expert Group, Kodaikanal is an ideal place to use a helicopter for hiking.
The Central and State Governments undertook a multi-stage survey work to set up a helicopter landing site for tourism development in the Kodaikanal hills in Dindigul district. The hill station of Chinnapallam above the city was finally selected and the areaThe Indian Air Transport Expert Panel conducted the inspection in person. Government officials, including Morgan, the chairman of the expert panel, surveyed the area.
Speaking to reporters after the inspection, Morgan said:
According to locals, helicopter tourism in the Kodaikanal hills will not only be used for tourism, but also for the medical emergency and wildlife control facilities. The people of Kodaikanal also said that the service should be brought in regularly to study the fears of wildlife caused by helicopters, damage to agricultural crops by wind and vibrations in homes.
