Panaji: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday exuded confidence that the ruling BJP in Goa would once again form the government in the state after securing an absolute majority in the assembly elections to be held in February next year.

He said the ‘double engine’ government of the BJP in Goa and at the Center would help in the development of the state.

Addressing a function after laying the foundation stone of National Forensic Science University (NFSU) at Dharbandora village in South Goa, he also said that chartered flights will start arriving in Goa from November 15.

He said, ‘BJP will form the next government in the state with absolute majority. It’s election time now. But I am appealing to the people of Goa to make up their mind to elect a BJP government in the state under the leadership of Narendra Modi at the Centre.

“This double engine government will help the state continue its development,” he said.
