The 54-year-old actor, known for his role as Chandler Bing in the TV series Friends, which aired between 1994 and 2004, was found dead six days ago.
“This service was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, near Warner Bros. Studios,” People reported, citing an unidentified source. It was stated that the funeral ceremony lasted approximately two hours.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, a cemetery popular with celebrities in the Hollywood Hills, did not respond to AFP’s request for confirmation.
Several other US media outlets, including celebrity news site TMZ, also reported that Perry was buried in a “modest” funeral attended by her co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow.
Perry’s mother, father and stepfather also attended, according to media reports.
Perry’s cause of death is not yet known. The initial autopsy examination was inconclusive and the results of toxicology tests have not yet been released.
TMZ cited sources who said no illegal drugs were found in his home, but a variety of medications were discovered, including antidepressants and anxiety medications.
Perry had been struggling with addiction and serious health problems for years.
