A new bar and restaurant will be opening soon at Glasgow Airport with owners giving us a first look at what to expect.

Taking over the space formerly home to the Sanderling Bar, the Bird & Signet is expected to open by the end of October creating up to 100 jobs.

There will be room for up to 500 customers in the restaurant and there will be much more space in a bar that will wrap around the Starbucks in the airport departure lounge.

Craig Norton, Glasgow Airport Retail Account Manager, said: “We’re very pleased with how the Bird & Signet Kitchen & Bar looks and can’t wait to welcome passengers when it opens in the coming weeks.

“The Sanderling has been a mainstay at the airport for years and a favorite with passengers given its location directly after World Duty-Free in the departure lounge, but the transformation to the Bird & Signet is incredible and I am confident that visitors will love the new. setting and surroundings.”
