ISLAMABAD, November 04 (Online): Islamabad local court has sent former National Assembly (NA) speaker Asad Qaisar to jail on judicial remand.
The court ordered the Anti-Corruption KP to complete legal proceedings within a week.
Asad Qaisar was produced in the court of Magistrate Qudratullah by Banigala Islamabad Police.
SHO Banigala police Ashfaq Warraich accepted the allegation of arrest of Asad Qaisar in the corruption case. In order for the Anti-Corruption KP to detain Asad Qaisar after completing the legal proceedings, he needs to be sent to jail under judicial remand.
PTI lawyers Shoaib Shaheen, Advocate Gauhar Ali, Sardar Maroof and others appeared in court.

The election date was announced a day before and Asad Qaisar was arrested. Asad Kaysar is subjected to political revenge. In this case, he needs to be released. Asad Qaisar continues to go to KP. Shoaib Shaheen said that we have submitted a petition to the court regarding the release of Asad Qaisar on protective bail.
The court pointed out that protective bail cannot be granted to Asad Kaysar at this stage.
The court reserved the verdict on the police’s request to send Asad Qaisar to judicial custody.
Later, while announcing the decision, the court decided to send Asad Qaisar to prison with a request for judicial detention.
