Central security force jawans guard strong rooms of Government Engineering College in Ujjain on Saturday |
Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): After the voting, EVMs, VVPAT and CU-BU were kept in the strong room at the Government Engineering College (UEC).
Besides security personnel, Congress workers and other parties are also guarding the safe room. Party workers are sleeping outside the safe room. Here Congress and BSP are on round-the-clock vigil to monitor EVMs and VVPATs.
In the UEC, workers of candidates from seven non-BJP seats are monitoring the powerful chamber. Around eight workers from each side are monitoring the EVMs from the corridor.
Congress and BSP representatives also keep watch outside the safe room at night.
In order to monitor the powerful chambers of the seven assemblies, the Congress has already taken the permission of the district return office for the seven assemblies representatives.
Nagda-Khachrod’s Congress candidate Dilip Singh Gurjar, Ghattia’s Ramlal Malviya, Tarana’s Mahesh Parmar, Ujjain North’s Maya Trivedi, Ujjain South’s Chetan Yadav and other Congress candidates and workers of Ghattiya’s BSP candidate till December night they would watch the strong room. 2.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, collector and district returning officer Kumar Purushottam inspected the corridor outside the strong chambers at the UEC. Safe rooms are under strict surveillance by security forces personnel. Before this, the collector inspected the control room and instructed the district deputy returning officer to issue duty orders to officers and employees. The security personnel on duty should not allow any unwanted movements through the entrance door and no one should enter without the entrance door.
