amit shah attacks nitish kumar as opposition parties takes shape RS News

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday launched a scathing attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He claimed that the Janata Dal United chief betrayed the BJP to ‘sit in Lalu Prasad’s lap’ while aiming to become the prime minister in 2024. Amit Shah attacked Lalu Yadav along with Nitish in a meeting in Bihar. So the question is, why have these leaders now come under Amit Shah’s target? Is the BJP suffering a lot because of these leaders? Is Amit Shah nervous about this Nitish-Lalu pairing?

Amit Shah, who is on a two-day tour of Bihar, said at a rally in Purnia, “Nitish Kumar deceived us and sat on Lalu Prasad’s lap. Seemanchal will give a befitting reply to Nitish Kumar. Can Nitish Kumar become the Prime Minister by changing the political alliance?

“BJP showed nobility because Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised you the CM’s post. But, when the Lok Sabha elections drew near, you betrayed us to become the next prime minister. People of Bihar know you. They gave you the benefit of the doubt, but now they know you.’

He further said, ‘They say that I have come here to create unrest. I am not here to create disturbance. Lalu Prasad Yadav is for it. Since Nitish ji is sitting on Lalu ji’s lap, I am telling you here that border districts are part of India. do not fear. We don’t have to worry under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule.

This is Home Minister Amit Shah’s first reaction since Chief Minister Nitish Kumar broke ties with the BJP last month to forge an alliance with the RJD.

Nitish Kumar came to Delhi a few weeks ago and met many opposition leaders including former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, CPM leader Sitaram Yechury, SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Before that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao came to Patna and met Nitish Kumar before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in order to strengthen the opposition unity.

Opposition parties have intensified preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections ever since Nitish Kumar came to the opposition’s court. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that she will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by coming on one platform with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Nitish Kumar and other opposition leaders. Since Nitish Kumar’s change in Bihar, JDU leaders have started talking about Nitish Kumar becoming the Prime Minister in the 2024 elections. However, Nitish Kumar says that he is not in the race for any post and only wants to unite the opposition parties.
