Lahore: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom met with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Jati Amra.
In the announcement of the meeting held in Jati Amra, it was stated that Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of mutual relations between the two countries in his meeting with Donald Bloom.
According to the statement, Pakistan’s political and economic situation was discussed at the meeting. Nawaz Sharif expressed confidence that people will vote for PML-N again in the upcoming elections.
It should not be forgotten that British High Commissioner Jane Marriott also met with Nawaz Sharif two days ago, and in this meeting, trade, investment promotion and the development of mutual relations between the two countries were discussed.
On this occasion, Nawaz Sharif said that Britain is Pakistan’s largest trade partner in Europe, that Britain is concerned about the decrease in foreign development cooperation for Pakistan, and that the British government should increase development aid to Pakistan.
In this meeting, Nawaz Sharif also emphasized that the British government should play a positive role in ensuring an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
