Ratlam. A new road to progress in Madhya Pradesh including Malwa, an agreement has been reached for the proposal to develop an industrial investment area on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. With the signing of the contract between the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Authority (MPRDC) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHI), the way has been cleared for a new industrial investment zone. Now Ratlam will become the most important point of Madhya Pradesh on this state-of-the-art road project. Arrangements will be made directly from the central level in the proposed investment area of about 1000 hectares and new constructions will be done here. Ratlam, the major cities of Malvanchal, as well as the medium cities like Ujjain, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Jhabua, Alirajpur and Javra-Nagda will also get its big benefit.
Journey from Road Authority to Highway Authority
On the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Ratlam, an area of about one thousand 800 hectares has been reserved for investment and other construction. Out of this, about one thousand hectare area has now been given by MPRDC to NHI. Here NHI will create a new investment area. This new investment area will be the biggest and major in the state on this IGway.

Industrial Clusters and Logistic Zones
A logistics zone and industrial cluster is proposed in the new investment area, this will increase employment opportunities in Ratlam and adjoining districts, and new possibilities will develop. The direct link of the IGway is with the major industrial cities of the country, so the airports and sea ports of many states will also be connected to it. Ratlam of Madhya Pradesh will get a big benefit of this, because the new investment area being within the purview of the IGway will also attract big investors.
Now the blueprint of the development area will be made from Delhi
After the land use of the new investment area, now the proposal of industrial investment area development from the central level is in the line of approval. It is believed that the initial brainstorming has been done on this, soon the proposal to be made from NHI can be approved from the central level also. After this process, the first new investment area will be prepared in Ratlam of Madhya Pradesh on this IGway under the state government, then new possibilities will be created on the proposal of agri food zone along with logistics hub near Garoth in Mandsaur district.

In this regard, Ratlam city MLA Chetan Kashyap said that a land contract has been signed between MPRDC and NHI for a new investment area on the IGway near Ratlam. On this the proposal of investment sector will go ahead. This is important for Ratlam district as well as for the state, because after the establishment of a new investment area, the possibilities of industrial development along with employment will increase very fast.
