6.57 Crore Hostel-New Buildings on behalf of Tourism Department: Chief Minister Inaugurates RS News

The Tamil Nadu Government is implementing various schemes through the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation to improve the tourism industry.

In order to provide more facilities to the lakhs of domestic and foreign tourists visiting Trichy, Tamil Nadu Hotel has a 19 thousand 238 sq. ft. accommodation facility and a 110 seat conference hall for various cultural programs and business meetings.

Chidambaram, Madurai

A new tourism office has been constructed in Chidambaram town to provide information about tourist destinations in Cuddalore district and coordinate tourism development activities there. Through this, tourism development works in Cuddalore district will be carried out better through this office.

Hazrat Khaja Syed Sultan Alauddin Auliya Dargah and Masjid Waqf located in Koripalayam, Madurai is an 800 year old holy place. A large number of local people and tourists visit the Ganduri festival held here. Additional facilities such as rest rooms for women and men, storage room, men’s and women’s toilets have been made to provide them with additional facilities.

On 27th (yesterday) Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated the hostel and conference hall at Trichy Tamil Nadu Hotel, the tourist office building at Chidambaram and additional facilities at Madurai Koripalayam dargah at a total cost of Rs.6.57 crore at the Secretariat. .

Tourism Minister M. Mathiventhan, Chief Secretary V. Irayanbu, Principal Secretary Tourism, Culture and Charitable Institutions P. Chandaramohan, Director Tourism Sandeep Nanduri and senior government officials from the Chief Secretariat attended the event.

Also, Trichy Municipal Corporation Mayor M. Anpahagan, Trichy District Collector M. Pradeep Kumar, Trichy Corporation Commissioner R. Vaithyanathan, representatives of local bodies and senior government officials participated in the event through a video link from Trichy.
